Welcome to biblicalmetaphor.com, home of the Biblical Metaphor Annotated Bibliography.
The bibliography was created to be a resource to scholars and lay persons interested in studying metaphor in the Bible. Most of the detailed studies are focused on metaphor in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, since that is the primary research interest of the author, but the theoretical works often have a broader scope.
The initial draft of the bibliography (created in 2014) attempted to capture book-length works on biblical metaphor that had been published since 1980 and articles that had been published since 2000. My plan for the coming year is to begin updating and expanding the bibliography on a regular basis.
